An independent non-governmental research institute and library located at The George Washington University, the Archive collects and publishes declassified documents obtained through the Freedom of Information Act. The Archive also serves as a repository of government records on a wide range of topics pertaining to the national security, foreign, intelligence, and economic policies of the United States. Some of these items are accessible online for free.

The United Nations (UN) is an international cooperative designed to aid in world peace. The UN does not make laws or act as a world wide government. The website can be accessed in several languages. The site provides access to a variety of information, publications and resources on programs and services provided by the UN. The site has an index and a search function or can be browsed. The CyberSchool Bus area (http://www.un.org/Pubs/CyberSchoolBus/index.html) provides easy access to quick information about countries, statistics, and the organization itself. There is also an archive of documents, UN webcasts, UN library, and more.

The institute provides programs such as research grants, fellowships, education programs and publications. The website provides access to information about the various projects and programs of the Institute. It has the full-text of many of the reports, newsletters, etc.
