Textbook Reserves

Coronavirus Update: Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the Wimberly Library is closed, and so access to and use of our hard copy books is suspended temporarily.  This means that the hard copy books in the Textbook Reserves collection currently are unavailable for use.  But wait!  We do have some e-textbooks in the Textbook Reserves collection.  See for below for instructions on how to use this guide to see if we have your classroom textbook in an electronic format.  Don't see your e-textbook today?  Check back here, and often! We update this guide as we are able to, and we will continue to make every effort to add as many e-textbooks as possible to the Textbook Reserves.

How to use this guide

  • Using the tabs to the left, look for your course prefix and click the appropriate tab.
  • Textbooks available for borrowing at the Boca Raton Campus are located at the Service Desk in Wimberly Library.  Textbooks available for checkout at the Jupiter campus are located at the Service Desk in the John D. MacArthur Library.  Click the hyperlinked title of a textbook to see textbook campus location and loan availability.
  • For textbooks that have a link to an e-book version, click the title of the e-book to access the book online.  If you are off campus and trying to view an e-book, you will first need to authenticate yourself as a member of the FAU community by logging in using Off Campus Connect.

Loan policies*

  • Hard copy textbooks typically can be borrowed for 2 hours at a time and must remain in the library.  A current FAU Owl card is required to borrow hard copy textbooks on reserve.
  • Textbooks are not available for semester-long checkout.
