Attention to the moment is a rudimentary but powerful force for peace and healing. With this idea we expect to collaborate with University colleagues to explore the underpinnings of mindful attention, including cognitive, neuroscience, and behavior dimensions. The merit of mindfulness for health as well as accomplishment in sports, academics and everyday living will be considered.

This theme explores the issues involved in conflict, the role of state and international organizations in promoting conflict resolution and how societies deal with gross human rights violations.

This theme explores how various forms of media can contribute to our understanding of peace, justice and human rights. This theme highlights the use of art, photography and music to communicate the need to address peace, social justice and the preservation of human rights.
