American History in Video provides the largest and richest collection of video available online for the study of American history. The collection allows students and researchers to analyze historical events, and the presentation of historical events over time, through commercial and governmental newsreels, archival footage, public affairs footage, and important documentaries.
Art and Architecture in Video
Art and Architecture in Video includes documentaries and interviews illustrating the theory and practice of a variety of art forms. The collection spans period and region, including coverage of the Renaissance, Neoclassicism, Romanticism, Modern, and Contemporary art.
Asian Film Online
The Asian Film Online streaming video collection includes narrative feature films, documentaries, and shorts featuring Asian voices addressing Asian issues.
Black Studies in Video
Black Studies in Video brings together seminal documentaries, powerful interviews, and previously unavailable archival footage surveying the black experience, covering African American history, politics, art and culture, family structure, gender relationships, and social and economic issues.

Network television's longest running program (premiering in 1947), Meet the Press, is now searchable on a single platform, and includes thousands of interviews, panels, and debates. Many episodes have not been seen since their original broadcast.

New World Cinema: Independent Features and Shorts, 1990????Present includes over 200 full-length feature films from leading independent distributors such as Kino Lorber, First Run Features, Film Movement, and Global Lens. All the films were shown at major festivals, including some 50 award winning short films.
PBS Video Collection
The PBS Video Collection assembles over 1,000 of the greatest documentary films and series from the history of PBS. Some of the films and series included are American Experience, Empires, Freedom, Frontline, Great Performances, NOVA, and the films of Ken Burns, Michael Wood, and more.

Psychological Experiments Online is a multimedia collection that covers landmark psychological experiments of the 20th and 21st centuries. The collection includes audio and video recordings of the original experiments, videos of modern-day replications, and modifications to the original experiments. Also included are journal articles, books and primary-source documents such as field notes and letters by the lead psychologist.

A growing collection of videos in a variety of subject areas such as nursing, business, science, and film studies, and from a number of producers including California Newsreel, Criterion Collection/Janus Films, Kino Lorber, Media Education Foundation (MEF), Symptom Media, and more.

Does Kanopy support Public Performance Rights?

Digital Campus by Swank Motion Pictures, Inc. allows students the flexibility to legally view course-assigned films outside of the classroom. Providing digital access to course-related films allows educators to enhance the learning experience without taking up valuable class time. Faculty who wish to request a movie may fill out the Digital Campus Movie Request Form. We now have access to numerous documentaries and the top 200 films on Digital Campus.

Nursing and Mental Health in Video: A Symptom Media Collection
Features over 240 videos of the most common mental health disorders nurses may encounter – whether in a primary care setting, emergency room, medical, psychiatric or other.
Faculty can easily integrate these 2-22 minute long videos within lectures, discussion groups, tests, and distance learning programs. Video support curriculum at all levels – undergraduate, graduate, and professional.

Shoah (Visual History Archive)
USC Shoah Foundation's Visual History Archive is a streaming collection of primary source video testimonies from survivors of and witnesses to genocide. Users can search through and view more than 55,000 video testimonies.
Initially a repository of Holocaust (1939-1945) testimony, the Archive includes the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda; Anti-Rohingya Mass Violence (August-October 2017); Armenian Genocide (1915-23); and others.

Patrons can click on “Register” and create a unique username and password, as official login is required for use of “My Projects/Bookmarked Projects/Shared Projects” features.

Verify video information at IMDB. Take note of title, director, year, and actors.
Look for videos - Try these steps

Type the title of the film in the Electronic Journal Search Box.
Check the FAU Library Catalog.
If film is not in catalog, check each of the streaming video collections below.
Check the links in the Free Film Websites box to the right for additional options.

To request a video or DVD, utilize the General Materials Suggestion Form.
If borrowing a DVD from another FAU campus, instructor must request DVD from FAU Library Catalog using their FAU account (see request at bottom left side of catalog record).
