The Library Catalog allows you to search for books, government documents, DVDs, electronic books, and other materials in the Library's collection. The catalog will tell you if the library owns a particular periodical (journal or magazine) but does not include the articles found in periodicals. To find these you must use the databases (see "Databases" tab above).
The Advanced Search screen allows you to combine terms using “and", "or", and "not” as well as limiting a search by location, date, format, or language.
OneSearch
OneSearch is a good place to start your research. Search across a variety of quality information provided by FAU Libraries: Journal and newspaper articles, books, maps, music, videos, and more.
WorldCat Database
The WorldCat database allows you to search a combined catalog of most of the libraries in North America, and many in other parts of the world. Items not owned by FAU may be ordered through the Interlibrary Loan service.
Interlibrary Loan and UBorrow
To request books from other libraries, use Interlibrary Loan (ILL). Loan time typically takes 7-10 days, so don’t wait until the last minute! Include the ISBN for a book or ISSN for a journal to speed up the process.
Need a book from a library in Florida's State University System? Use UBorrow to easily request the book (typically the book will be delivered to the FAU Library in 3-4 business days for you to pick up!
