What is Creative Commons?
Creative Commons is a nonprofit organization that enables the sharing and use of creativity and knowledge through free legal tools. Crediting an image should be assumed: always check each image's license for crediting details.
Where do I find Creative Commons?
Creative Commons is a freely available resource accessible via the web.
What is the direct link?
To search for images in Creative Commons:
1. Enter your keyword(s) into the search box.
2. Click a box that matches your needs (this step is not required and can be modified within results later.)
3. If needed, the "Resources" drop down offers useful tools to help navigate the site: a "search guide" and "meta search."
4. When you discover an image you would like to use, look for license information and how to credit the author. Never assume the content has no strings attached. In the example image below, you will see there are three options for easy copy/pasting an image's credit into your content.
