The Media Center is located in S.E. Wimberly Library, Room LY 122, on the Boca Raton Campus. It houses the University's primary collection of audiovisual materials. Formats supported by the Media Center include videotape, CD, CD-Rom, DVD and audiotape.
The center's collections and equipment may be used by currently enrolled FAU and PBSC South students, faculty and staff. Priority is given to students and faculty using the facilities for course-related purposes. Most materials may be checked out with a valid Owl Card or library card. S.E. Wimberly Library’s collection of music recordings is intended to support the broad range of study and research on campus and is housed in the Media Center on the first floor of the library in LY-122.
About the Media Center Music Collections
The S.E. Wimberly Library Media Center on the Boca Raton Campus also has a large collection of opera recordings in CD, VHS and DVD formats. Titles in the Media Center include; “Puccini's Heroines: The Power of Love”, “Nabucco”, and “La Belle Hélène” to name a few. Faculty, staff and students may borrow materials for a period of one week.
Search Instructions
You can use the Basic Search in the online Library Catalog to search for media materials by author, title or subject keywords. On the left side of the Results that appear, click on "Resource Type" to limit your search to specific format types. Click on "Location" and choose "Media Center" for items in the Wimberly Library Media Center.
