Geomatics is a newer engineering discipline that is focused on spatial information, that is, information that has a location, and the analysis of that information. Geomatics engineering encompasses the older disciplines of surveying, cartography and navigation, and expands on them to include all the disciplines that work with the need to know exactly where an object (building, land formation, marker, etc) is, how that object's location information is related to the location information of other objects, and how that information has changed and will change with time.
This guide contains information resources including books, databases, journals and more. The goal of this guide is to provide easy access to library resources and make students and researchers aware of resources they may not have known about.
