Welcome to the MLA style 9th edition research page! This page's goal was to synthesize MLA style into a format that is easy to understand and should you have difficulties,  easy to access links that contain helpful information. Please note, as with any formatting guidelines, your professor's or instructor's formatting and styling preferences supersedes those of MLA's (since they are the ones grading your papers-not MLA).

If you have trouble please feel free to reach out to Ask a Librarian through chat, phone, or email.
