Mendeley Reference Manager is the web-based version of Mendeley allows you to organize and search your personal library, annotate documents, and cite as you write in MS Word.
Mendeley Desktop app is no longer be available for download after August 31, 2022. However, if you had previously downloaded it, you will be able to continue to use it and sync it with Mendeley Reference Manager (online version).

Some features of Mendeley Reference Manager include:
- Sign in by "Institution" and FAU email after you created your Mendeley account (this method requires use of Duo authentication)
- Import or export citations or entire libraries
- Organize using folders/collections and tags
- Add notes or annotations to citations
- Edit metadata of citations
- Use Add-On to grab citations from web sites
- Plug-In to link Citation Manager to MS Word (access your Mendeley citations from within MS Word to use as references and in-text citations)
- Save PDFs of your documents (article PDFs, PowerPoints, etc.) in Mendeley for easy access (and associate them with the citation)
- Build bibliographies, works cited, etc.
- Thousands of citation styles available
- Search for documents within your library, using filters as needed.
