I am a distance learner taking only online classes and need library materials

The FAU Libraries Interlibrary Loan Department is committed to supporting the research of FAU online Distance Learners. If you have a question about a specific request, or need clarification about services, please contact our office.

  • Only students exclusively taking all online classes are considered Distance Learners.
  • FAU Distance Learners need a valid Owl Card which serves as your library card.
  • To obtain materials not available electronically, Distance Learners should create an Interlibary Loan account.
    • Be sure to pick Distance Learner as your status.
  • FAU will mail FAU-owned books to the address you specify. You are responsible for return postage.
  • We can order articles not owned by FAU. Articles are delivered to your Interlibrary Loan account.
  • For books not owned by FAU, please use your local library's interlibrary loan department.
