General Tips for OneSearch

OneSearch

Or search in the Catalog, Databases or e-Journal list.

OneSearch Tips:

1.  Use descriptive, specific search terms for best results.

The search terms "photography during the Civil War" will find results on a specific aspect of the Civil War while "Civil War" will provide many articles about the Civil War.

2.  Use "Refine Results" to narrow results.

  • Limit To:  limit results to peer-review or full text.
  • Publication Date:  limit results to a certain date range.
  • Source Types:  limit results to newspaper articles, journal articles, books, or other types of materials.
  • Subject:  choose articles that focus on a particular discipline or subject area.
