Finding Information on Companies and Industries Workshop

Locating Books in the Library

 FAU Library Catalog:

You can search for books, periodicals (journals, magazines) and other materials in the catalog to see if they are owned by the Library.  Articles cannot be found in the catalog.  If you want to locate an article, you will need to use a business database (click on "Finding Articles" tab above).

"Basic Search:"  You can find books about a company by selecting "Subject Heading" and typing in the company's name, such as "Motorola."

"Advanced Search:"  This is best for keyword searching, since you can select "Anywhere" and combine words and terms using and, or, not, such as "Motorola" and "global challenge."
