Welcome to the FAU Libraries subject guide to Chemistry and Biochemistry. Chemistry is the scientific study of the composition, structure, properties and behavior of the molecules and elements of which matter is made. Biochemistry is a sub-discipline of Chemistry and Biology. The discipline focuses its study on the molecules and elements that make up living beings.
This guide contains information resources including books, databases, journals and more. The goal of this guide is to provide easy access to library resources and to educate visitors concerning resources they may not know about.

SciFinder-n This link opens in a new window SciFinder-n is the new interface for SciFinder - the most comprehensive discovery tool of chemical information. If you are using Saved Answer Sets and Keep Me Posted alerts in the classic SciFinder, you can find information and instructions for migrating this data to SciFinder-n at Migrate Saved CAS SciFinder Answer Sets and Alerts.
Elsevier ScienceDirect This link opens in a new window Scholarly journals and ebooks in engineering, science, technology, health, and social science disciplines.
PubMed/MEDLINE This link opens in a new window PubMed comprises over 20 million citations for biomedical literature from MEDLINE, life science journals, and online books. PubMed citations and abstracts include the fields of medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, and preclinical sciences. PubMed also provides access to additional relevant web sites and links to the other NCBI molecular biology resources.
Web of Science This link opens in a new window Three unique citation databases which allow searching cited references as well as traditional searches independently or in combination: Science Citation Index Expanded, Social Sciences Citation Index, and Arts and Humanities Citation Index.
