Learn ArcGIS also provides a Teach with GIS Implementation Guide for Teachers, Schools, and Districts. Their goal is to support you in helping others learn about making maps and solving problems using the tools and data included in your GIS. All of the lessons are free to download and share. You can explore the Lesson Library and select exercises that fit the experience level and subject matter of your class.
MOOC (Massive Open Online Courses) offers FREE ongoing online classes. These courses offer a convenient, effective, and fun way to keep up with the fast-paced developments in geospatial technology. Classes are four to six weeks long and participants can study whenever they have spare time. A certificate is available upon completion.
These GIS training modules are provided by the CDC and cover introductory and advanced topics in GIS that are available on the Chronic Disease GIS Exchange, a website managed in the Division for Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention. These training modules were developed as part of the GIS Surveillance for Heart Disease, Stroke, and Other Chronic Diseases in State and Local Health Departments project. Training modules include slide shows, exercises, and data.
