Create links to library and non-library resources on Canvas!

Here are some easy ways to use LibGuides in Canvas:

• The FAU Libraries Research Guides (subject, general, and class research guides) can be embedded into Canvas.
• Request a Research Guide for your class!
• Link to a Research Guide URL.
• Want to link to a particular Research Guide page? Contact the guide owner (see the first page of the guide) to request an easy URL to link a specific page. (We are in the process of adding "friendly URLs" to each guide page.
• Copy and paste information from a research guide into Canvas.
• Contact your Library Liaison with any questions!

Compatibility:

• According to FAU OIT's Canvas FAQs, Canvas can be used with the last two versions of every browser release.  Instructors are highly recommended to have the latest updates of their preferred browsers and also have the most up-to-date Flash plug-in.
• Canvas supports these popular web browsers and versions of Flash (as of October 18, 2016):
  • Internet Explorer 11 and Edge.
  • Chrome 52 and 53
  • Safari 9 and 10
  • Firefox 48 and 49 (Extended Releases are not supported)
  • Flash 22 and 23 (used for recording or viewing audio/video and uploading files)
  • Respondus Lockdown Browser (supporting the latest system requirements 

For technical assistance or other problems with Canvas:

• Visit the FAU Canvas page.
• Click on "Help" on the menu bar when logged into Canvas.
