Fake News (and what to do about it!)

What is bias?

"Bias" refers to our tendency to have a preconceived opinion about something or someone in a way that usually influences our judgment negatively.  Bias is found in media sources of all kinds, including in news sources.  Bias is not necessarily indicative of "fake," but bias can be difficult to detect, since bias can cause a journalist or news reporter to take a narrow view of a particular topic/news story.
