RefWorks Transition

Transitioning out of RefWorks citation management

Florida Atlantic University’s subscription to the RefWorks citation management software ends December 31, 2020. The University’s subscription is funded by the Florida Academic Library Services Cooperative (FALSC), which is foregoing subscription renewal for the entire Florida state university system (SUS). FAU-subscribed RefWorks account holders will need to export their sources and citations to a different citation manager by December 31, 2020, after which time FAU-subscribed account holders will be unable to access sources and citations from their RefWorks accounts. To help facilitate this transition, the FAU Libraries offers a variety of free web-based alternatives.  In this guide, please see the "Other Citation Managers" tab for access to alternate citation manager of your choice.  We also provide information about citation generators.  For questions, please inquire to eresources@fau.edu or contact RefWorks technical support.

Note: Exporting your Refworks library will include your citations but not your PDF files.  To export your PDF files, you must download each one individually, and save in a different space, such as a desktop folder or Google drive; or link your Refworks account to Dropbox.

Individual subscription to RefWorks

RefWorks subscriptions specifically are designed for organizational use.  However, you can find information and details about individual subscriptions by inquiring to  RS-RWsales@proquest.com, or by telephone at 1-775-327-4105.
