About Scholarly Communication Services

FAU Libraries Scholarly Communication Services (SCS) provides support to all FAU campuses by addressing the wide range of issues related to creating, evaluating, disseminating, and preserving the outputs of research and scholarship. 

Services:  We provide online consultations, presentations, and events for staff, students, faculty, and campus groups.  Sessions can be delivered synchronously (face-to-face or online via Zoom, WebEx, or Microsoft Teams) or asynchonously (video recording).  We can also work with or co-present with other units in the FAU Libraries.  Make your request.

Topics:  Our services focus on the following areas of scholarly communication.  See each link to view LibGuides with additional information; use these for your professional development or in your course as an assignment or supplemental reading*.

   Scholarly Publishing : Choose a publisher, deceptive or predatory publishers

  Researcher Profile & Identifier Management : Scopus Profile, Publons, Mendeley, ORCID and other persistent identifiers
