During World War II, Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin would begin as allies and then end up as enemies during the course of the war. Both men would rise to power in their respected nations, and rule as tyrants and murderers. They shared a common ground in that they held racial hatred of Jews and other ethnic groups. Hitler and Stalin ruled with brute force and controlled the media, the police, and government bodies, demanding total power. Beyond their similar ruling habits, they held similar psychological characteristics, as they both were narcissistic and sociopathic personalities.
